The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia inc. (ICCIAUS) is proud to have announced the opening of its antenna office in Adelaide with an Opening Event on Thursday, 10 March 2022, at the presence of the Consul of Italy Adriano Stendardo, Minister Vincent Tarzia in representation of SA Premier Steven Marshall and Minister for Innovation and Skills David Pisoni as well as Chamber members, media and Italian community representatives. This news further formalises the Chamber activities and presence in the State since 2016, strengthening its position as one of the leading Italian-related business associations in Australia, that aims to assist and offer its expertise to companies and enterprises, largely operating in NSW, SA and ACT.
“The Chamber is about bilateral trade between Italy and Australia providing events, trade shows and government liaisons for our members but, more importantly, this can only be accomplished because our chamber brings passion, knowledge, process and results and a full understanding of local and Italian compliances and systems, which help our members to achieve their objectives” said ICCIAUS Chairman, Fabio Grassia, in his opening speech.
“This is a major milestone after our Chamber started operating in the State six years ago with the blessing and cooperation of the Ministry for Economic Development, the Embassy of Italy and the Consulate.” - says Rachele Grassi, CEO of ICCIAUS - “We have already delivered many meaningful projects such as facilitating the visit of the former Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs; developing ministerial campaigns like True Italian Taste; organising the very first Italian pavilion at the Australia Space Forum - also helping putting South Australia on the map for sector-related Italian companies” she commented “and we intend to keep proactively cementing the links between Italian industries and the local business market."
As site of many governmental and financial institutions, Adelaide is one of the most interesting and strategical markets to widen the Chamber’s work and mission, also thanks to recent agreements with two major local universities and the presence of board members from companies that have major operations in South Australia such as Enel Green Power and Luxottica.
This operation, which both represents an opportunity and a new challenge, also acknowledges the network and professional experience of the Italian Chamber. The office is located at Level 24 of Westpac House building, 91 King William Street, Adelaide; having secured this stable presence in the region will allow ICCIAUS to further generate positive connections to be more competitive and comprehensive in its services and to better offer its support to businesses and institutions
