This weekend saw beginning of the g20italy 2021 Rome summit that brought together world leaders and heads of state from the 20 of the biggest and most influential economies. Alongside the three pillars of the summit: People, planet and Prosperity, the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic recovery was that main talking point at the 2021 summit with Australian PM Scott Morrison emphasising the need to work together to lift vaccination rates in developing countries, and highlighting the very strong role Australia is playing in its region on this.
Scott Morrison also outlined another key focus of Australia in the Summit, keeping children safe in the digital world, and ensuring we continue to be a successful trading nation, which will play a key role in our economic recovery from COVID.
Along with other world leaders and heads of state, Scott Morrison will soon leave for the COP26 – UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow which is co-hosted by italy and the uk to discuss strategies in the race to netzero and the transformation to greener economies.
